How long does testing take?

About 30 minutes total: a brief 10-15 minute counseling session and 20 minutes to process the Rapid HIV Test.
Results for syphilis are processed by the State of Missouri Public Laboratory and can take up to 2 weeks for results to return.

We use rapid and conventional tests. Rapid tests - 20 minute results (blood sample). Conventional tests - up to 2 weeks for results (blood sample).

An HIV antibody test looks for these antibodies in blood. Most people develop detectable HIV antibodies within 6 to 12 weeks (3 months) of infection. In rare cases, it can take up to 6 months.
