Volunteers are always needed at Camp HOPE to assist with making Camp a positive experience for the families.

Volunteer responsibilities include:

* Attend a volunteer orientation on the Friday morning of Camp to learn responsibilities and to meet other volunteers. Volunteers are required to be at camp Friday, August 18, 2006 at 11am until Sunday, August 20, at 2pm.

* Being paired as a buddy to a family and supporting the caregivers by assisting with the children, i.e. taking them horseback riding or for a swim. In addition, the volunteer is a positive role model for the children.

* Assisting in the group activities, which include ropes courses, crafts, boat rides, exploring caves, etc.

* Assisting in the set-up and implementation of activities.

* Being a friend to all of the children at Camp HOPE. Past volunteers have come back year after year. They report very positive experiences from Camp HOPE and look forward to it each year. Volunteers get just as much out of camp as the children do and they are exhausted by the time they go home!
