LGBT
Focused Staff
Funded by a Health Education and Risk Reduction
(HE/RR) grant from the CDC, Health and Education for
Youth and Young Adults (HEY) has two full-time HIV/STD
Prevention Specialists and three part-time peer educators
who focus on HIV prevention specifically for LGBT
persons. These are trained staff members who can perform
the free OraSure HIV test and answer any questions
you may have about the test, HIV and other STDs, sexual
health, etc. We have staff who are heterosexual and
those who are members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual,
and transgender (LGBT) communities. Be assured that
we have culturally sensitive staff members who can
assist you.
