The mission of Project ARK is to improve health and reduce healthcare disparities through HIV prevention, care, and support.
- Inclusive Safe Space: We promise to provide an emotionally and physically safe space that ensures equitable access to care/treatment/resources/opportunities for all with dignity and respect.
- Racial Equity: We promise to fight for the elimination of systems of oppression and to develop structures and processes that produce positive health and well-being outcomes for all people regardless of their race.
- Health Equity: We promise to provide services that promote opportunities and remove obstacles for all people to be as healthy as possible, with a particular expertise in women and youth programs.
- Client Partnership: We promise to provide quality evidence-based care through a partnership that focuses on individual strengths, values, and goals.
Our mission and core values guide us, as we engage the community. In 2020, Project ARK provided care to 1,153 women, youth, and children living with HIV. Of these clients – 82% were African American, 70% adult women, and 18% youth.
